Cute Gingerbread Houses To Make This Year

Updated Published

Nothing goes together like the holiday season and gingerbread houses. However, my imagination goes further than what I can actually do, and my cookie creations are never as pretty as they should be — but I digress. Whether it’s a tradition in your family or not, it’s the perfect building activity to let your creativity (and competitiveness) soar — have you seen the Era’s Tour gingerbread stadium? It’s a masterpiece and full of “Style (Taylor’s Version).” The replica of blondie’s stadium just goes to show that gingerbread houses can really be whatever you want. So, here’s a roundup of cute gingerbread houses and kits to build this year.

Classic Gingerbread House Kit, $9

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Leave it to Trader Joe to keep things simple and delicious in this German house cookie kit, including walls and roofing (aka gingerbread pieces), outdoor décor (chocolate buttons and fruity gummies), and durable cement (which is really just ready-to-make icing mix.)

Christmas Barn Gingerbread House, $13

Old MacDonald had a gingerbread farm. From the candy corn silo to the pig with a Santa hat, I don’t know where to start with the cuteness factor on this one. Merry Christ-Moo-s, indeed.

OREO Christmas Pre-Built Cookie House Kit, $16

Oreo lovers, unite. This pre-built cookie house is perfect for builders who don’t love gingerbread but want to get in on the holiday fun with an easy and festive kit.

Holiday Beach House Sugar Cookie Gingerbread House Kit, $13

Starting strong with a beach house. It’s a cute house that veers off the more “traditional” houses but still has that holiday cheer with green icing to make festive garlands.

Ready-to-Build Mini Village Christmas Gingerbread Kit, $36

One house isn’t enough, make yourself a village with this 13-piece set. This village gives off more of the classic gingerbread house look with candy canes and other candies.

Holiday Tree House Gingerbread House Kit, $12

Build the tree house of your dreams with this kit from Favorite Day. The kit comes with gumdrops and other hard candies to make this tree house as festive as possible.

M&M’s Holiday House Gingerbread Cookie Kit, $28

This is purely for the M&M’s — great to snack on while building the house too so, make sure to buy extra M&M’s too. You’ll be different than the other houses using chocolates instead of regular hard candies and gumdrops.

Hogwarts Castle Gingerbread Cookie Kit, $16

Bring the magic of Harry Potter home this holiday season with this enchanting Hogwarts castle cookie kit, including everything you need to make a beautiful gingerbread scene. You won’t need to cast any spells for extra supplies, since the kit comes packed with pre-baked vanilla cookie panels, sanding sugar, bright confetti quin, plus black, blue and yellow icing, to unite all the witches, wizards, and Muggles on your gift lift.

Christmas Target Store Sugar Cookie Gingerbread House Kit, $12

I’d be lying if I didn’t mention that Favorite Day won with its gingerbread house kits. Not only is this sweet Target Store kit absolutely iconic (hello, Bullseye the cookie dog), but it’s the perfect addition to your gingerbread village.
