7-Eleven’s Bring Your Own Cup Day Is Back

Currently, I’m attempting to locate the fish bowl from my short-lived fish ownership phase. It would make the perfect receptacle for the 7-Eleven Bring Your Own Cup Day and the famous mixture of every Slurpee flavor that I call “Slurpin’ My Way to Success.” I think I’ll probably forgo a straw and just dig into my Slurpee-filled fish bowl with a ladle.

What is 7-Eleven’s Bring Your Own Cup Day?

On April 29, you can visit any 7-Eleven, Speedway, or Stripes store and fill a cup-like container with Slurpee for only $1.99. With inflation rates these days, there’s little else you can buy for two dollars, and certainly nothing that could inspire so much hope for the fate of humanity. I plan on fighting the spring heat while sticking to my budget, thank you very much!

What are the rules?

Unfortunately, there are a few rules. You can’t just fill up the back of your pickup truck with Cherry Slurpee and ride off into the sunset. The cup-like object must fit upright in a 10-inch hole, so it can access the Slurpee machine (there will be a cutout in-store for you to test your cup). The cup must be clean and food-safe, as well as watertight. And, this may be the most important rule — only one cup per person. So, choose your cup wisely, because an espresso cup filled with Slurpee will cost the same as a flower vase filled with Slurpee on April 29th. That said, as long as your cup-like object follows these rules, you’re good to go.

What are some good cup-like objects that fit the specifications?

7-Eleven suggests a cowboy boot, a flower pot, or a fish bowl. However, I did some research and came across a few ideas you might enjoy more. You can use an award cup, a football helmet, a beaker, a tankard, a drinking horn for a bit of the Viking vibe, a milk carton, a coconut, a lightbulb, and the list continues. Don’t be afraid to get fancy with a wine glass or champagne flute.

What flavors will be available?

Every available flavor is on the table for BYOCD. Although the most popular flavors are Coca-Cola and Cherry, there are tons of options to choose from. Brisk Blood Orange Iced Tea, Blueberry Lemonade Bliss, MTN-DEW Citrus, Pina Colada, Vitamin Water xxx, Mango Lemonade, Peach Perfect, What the Fanta?, Pineapple Whip, and Blue Raspberry couldn’t possibly disappoint.
