Baking with your friends can be really fun, but if you don’t know where to start or what to make, it can be daunting. With too many ingredients or too little time, it’s difficult to know where to start. That’s where Trader Joe’s comes in. Besides their wide variety of fresh, frozen, and ready-to-eat meals and snacks, they also have their bases covered on baking, with a wide variety of different baking mixes. We put two Trader Joe’s baking mixes to the test – the blondie bars and the truffle brownie mix.

Trader Joe’s Truffle Brownie
Ingredients
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°, and grease an 8×8 pan for the brownies. Whisk in the eggs with the melted butter. Then, combine with the baking mix in a medium bowl.
Stir the egg and milk mixture with the brownie mix until smooth.
Spread in your greased pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°.
Both of these mixes are very easy to make, and only took a few minutes to prepare before baking! We baked them together in the same pan, and 30 minutes was the perfect time. The blondies were sweet enough without being too overpowering. They came out perfectly chewy, and the amount of chocolate chips was just right amount in every bite. The brownies had a smooth, fluffy texture, and a well-balanced sweet and chocolatey taste.
Between the two desserts, the blondies were more popular in the group because they had the perfect sweetness and texture – not too soft, yet not too chewy. We loved the brownies too, and would eat both of these desserts again. These mixes are extremely easy and require minimal ingredients – Trader Joe’s does the work so you don’t have to. Next time you want a quick, simple, and delicious baked dessert, definitely try these mixes!
