Trick-or-treat, smell my feet! No, really, these monster feet cookies smell amazing. While there are several gluten free candy options during Halloween season, one thing that’s often missing is gluten free Halloween cookies. Enter: Monster Feet. The almond flavoring in these cookies is reminiscent of the take-and-bake holiday cookies; a major win for the gluten free front. Pop in these Monster Feet cookies whenever you’re feeling a little left out of spooky season sweets.
#SpoonTip: If you have friends that do eat gluten, here’s the regular version from Betty Crocker that inspired this gluten free version.

Ingredients
Instructions
Stir together cookie mix, melted butter, egg and almond extract.
Then add in the green food coloring.
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
While the dough chills, place the almonds in a plastic bag and add the red food coloring. Seal the bag and work the food coloring into the almonds.
Once you’ve reached your desired color, lay the almonds out on parchment paper to dry.
Heat oven to 375°. For each cookie, form dough into the shape of a thick foot. Aim for around 2 inches long and 1 inch wide. Place the cookies 2 inches apart on an uncreased cookie sheet.
Press almonds into each foot, placing a larger almond on one side for a big toe.
Bake 6 to 8 minutes, taking the cookies out once they’re set but before they’re browned.
To make the cookies extra spooky, play around with the recipe by adding bunions (M&Ms) or stitches (black frosting).
Have a spooky gluten free Halloween!
