How to Make South-Approved Raspberry Tea

If there’s anything any Southern Belle knows, it’s how to make good sweet tea. If they really want to impress their Northern friends, they’ll add their own personal twist to it.  My personal favorite twist is to add raspberries. Here is the only raspberry tea recipe you’ll need to make your friends believe that you’re Southern AF.

Raspberry Sweet Tea

  1. Caroline Legates

    Bring 4 cups of water to boil on the stove.

  2. Caroline Legates

    Pour the 2 cups of sugar into boiling water and stir until dissolved.

  3. Caroline Legates

    Remove water from heat.

  4. Caroline Legates

    Place the 5 tea bags into the water and let sit for 8 minutes, then remove tea bags.

    Place 1/4 cup of water in a smaller pot along with half of the raspberries on medium heat.

    Stir until melted.

  7. Caroline Legates

    Add other half of raspberries to the pot and repeat step 6.

    Remove from heat.

    Strain melted raspberries and discard pulp.

    Pour tea, raspberry juice, and 4 cups of water into a pitcher.

    Optional: Add lemon and mint for taste.
