5 Boston Wraps That Will Transport You to Another Country

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Northeastern chapter.

Despite its small size, Boston encases a huge variety of international restaurants. If you are too broke or too busy to have a proper meal and want a change from your daily overcooked pasta, these wraps are your best allies.

1. Greek Pita Wrap at Saloniki

Saloniki offers so many different fillings for your wrap, from pork or lamb to vegetarian options like zucchini or eggplant. You can combine as many sauces as you want (I recommend the “tzatziki” made of Greek yoghurt, olive oil and lemon juice) and vegetables.

If you are a cheese lover, you should also get a side of barrel-aged feta and add it to your pita wrap as you eat it.

2. Indian “Dosa” at The Dosa Factory

The Dosa Factory offers authentic Indian street food. This version of a wrap is served with coconut chutney and sambhar  (made of roasted lentils, dried whole red chilies, fenugreek seeds and coriander seeds).

There are many options for the stuffing so if you are not feeling very adventurous, you can always have the traditional chicken tikka inside. If you are too lazy to move from your sofa, they even deliver.

3. El Guapo Burrito at El Pelón Taqueria

When you first bite this beautiful wrap, you may think to yourself, “I can taste the beans, I can taste the rice but…What is that?” Yeah, that secret ingredient is plantain and it’s godly.

4. Burrito from Anna’s Taqueria

This marvelous piece of food will forever change your vision of burritos. The toppings include your typical Mexican fast food toppings such as beans and guacamole. Yet, the “carne al Pastor” or “lengua” is what differentiates Anna’s taqueria from a dull wrap. And they also deliver.

5. Shawarma Chicken Wrap at Boston Shawarma

Another kind of Mediterranean wrapped food, the Lebanese wrap combines fresh ingredients and warm and juicy meat (or falafel for vegetarians). You can spice it up with some hot sauce or just add a little hummus for extra flavor. Enjoy it sitting down, at your house (or tiny college dorm) or sitting on the grass, because wraps are an all terrain kind of food.
