Remember those in-class Halloween parties you had growing up? Everyone was in costume, there were decorations, games, and crafts, and most importantly, Pinterest-worthy homemade treats created by your classmates’ moms. Yup, those were the days. I frequently remember being given chocolate-covered pretzels during those events. Coated in colorful melting candy and funky sprinkles, they just screamed ‘Halloween Party.’ Obviously, they were everyone’s favorite.
So if you’re feeling nostalgic, gather some friends and whip up these pretzels for dessert, put on the Thirteen Nights of Halloween, and feel like you’re a kid again.
Chocolate-Covered Halloween Pretzels
Ingredients
Instructions
Separate colored candy melts into bowls. Microwave each separately in increments of 30 to 50 seconds. Be sure to watch, as the candy can burn. Whisk each until you have a melted mixture.
Take your pretzel rods and dip them into the melted candy. Use a spoon to spread evenly.
Lay the wet pretzels on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Be sure that the candy is still wet so that your decorations will stick. Scatter assorted colored sprinkles on the rods.
Allow the pretzels to dry for at least 20 minutes; refrigeration is not required.
And there you have it! Easy Halloween chocolate-covered pretzels in no time at all. Share the nostalgia and give some to friends, or eat them all yourself. Calories don’t count on Halloween, right?
