We’re back this week with a recipe that will make you say “Hodor!”. All-Bran might not be your first cereal of choice, but we use it in this recipe for a variety of reasons: 1) It’s easy 2) we’re in college, so who’s going to buy or even find wheat bran to make bran muffins? 3) This recipe is all about Bran, hence, All-Bran.
In case you ever wondered how Hodor managed to carry Bran on his back for four whole seasons (and counting!), we like to think maybe he found the energy in these tasty muffins. Creating the perfect Bran Muffin isn’t easy, but we like to think it’s easier than carrying a boy who went through puberty in just one short season transition. Put your artistic skills to the test by following the next few steps. (Steps 1-6 can also be found on this site).

Bran Muffins

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Stir flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a bowl.
Combine All-Bran cereal and milk in a large bowl. Allow it to stand about 2 minutes so it softens.
Add egg and oil to large bowl and beat well.
Add flour mixture and stir.
Divide mixture into muffin pans and bake for 20 minutes, allowing them to cool for at least 10 minutes.
Mix frosting with blue dye in one bowl and red dye in a separate bowl to make light blue and light pink frosting.
Use pink frosting to make Hodor’s face on top of a muffin.
Fill a plastic bag with blue frosting to make Hodor’s hair and face.
Cut licorice strips into quarters.
Draw Bran’s face on the flat side of the Hershey’s kiss and sit him on top of Hodor’s head, allowing his legs and arms to hang off the sides. Hodor!
