As autumn rolls around and summer comes to a close, students across the nation are swapping their swimsuits, lazy days and summer treats for sweaters, homework and pumpkin spice-flavored everything.
Those pricey (and basic) lattes can add up though, and we all know college kids aren’t made of money. Well, Spooners, now you can satisfy your zesty fall squash cravings, without breaking the bank — or even leaving your dorm room.
Enter the pumpkin spice microwave donut.
Did I just say microwave? Heck yes. It gets even better though; you only need 5 minutes and 8 ingredients to make these donuts. Check it.

5-Minute Microwavable Pumpkin Donuts
Ingredients
Instructions
Mix the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Add in the pumpkin puree, vanilla, olive oil, liquid sweetener*, and apple cider vinegar. Stir well.
*#SpoonTip: Try maple syrup, stevia, or sugar free flavored syrups. If you don’t have any of these, use 3/4 teaspoon of sugar and add 1 teaspoon of water to the mix.
Roll the dough mixture into 5-6 mini donuts and place on a microwave-safe plate.
Microwave for 2-3 minutes. Alternatively, you can also bake the donuts for 25 minutes at 350ºF (but who has time for that?).
Decorate with toppings of your choice. Devour.
