Drips Cheesecakes Is Serving Cheesecake On A Stick & Going Viral

Drips Cheesecakes is a Los Angeles-based restaurant which has been going viral for their delicious housemade cheesecake on sticks, eaten like a popsicle, enjoyed without hands. Their motto, “No Rules, No Forks, No Manners.”

Drips wants their cheesecakes to be a symbol of freedom, freedom from expectation and freedom to be a kid again. Their signature flavors include Cookies and Cream, Fruity Pebbles, Ferrero Nutella, Strawberry Shortcake, and Caramel Peanut dipped cheesecakes.

While doing a taste test of some of Drips Cheesecake pops, creator @jaskam_ on TikTok tried seven flavors. The first two flavors she tried with her partner were the Fruity Pebble and the Strawberry Shortcake, even showing the process of them being made. The Fruity Pebble cheesecake is dipped in smooth white chocolate, then covered in Fruity Pebble crumbs and a white chocolate drizzle. “I feel like I’m at the fair,” she says.

One of their cheesecake flavors is churro, dipping their classic vanilla cheesecake into batter, frying it, and then coating the fried cheesecake in cinnamon sugar. The inside is creamy and cold while the outside is crunchy and sugary.

Creator @christinaishangry tried this cheesecake commenting on how creamy the cheesecake was, joking that the cheesecake was “creaming”.

Though dipped cheesecakes are their most viral desserts, Drips sells food as well. Smash Burgers, specialty hot dogs, birria quesadillas, loaded fries, and much more.

The combination of twisting a traditional dessert into something new and fun, along with the bright colors of their treats, and visual appeal are what draw viewers in. Their over the top menu items are perfectly tailored to draw viewers in. The process of making these cheesecake slices and the crunches from reviewers bites are exactly what people find interesting.

Part of the appeal is the familiarity of the toppings. Fruity Pebbles, Oreo cookies, and churros are recognizable flavors to add to a simple dessert to make it more enticing. Pairing it with the popsicle presentation, these toppings help push Drips’ idea of giving customers the freedom to feel like children again. The cheesecake is still at the center of the show, with each bite, while the coatings give each flavor its own personality. The hardest part might be deciding which to try first.

Instead of choosing just one you can be like creator @aleeats8, a TikTok food reviewer who tried five of their flavors. Each time he bit into one of the cheesecakes there was a delicious ASMR level crunch coming from the crunchy coating and the cracking white chocolate.

“If you’re lactose intolerant, I recommend just tolerating it,” he jokes as he rates and eats the cheesecakes. “It tastes like the Cheesecake Factory’s Oreo Dream Extreme,” he comments in regards to the Oreo coated cheesecake.

Bringing some playfulness to a simple cheesecake is a creative way to elevate a simple dessert and draw customers in.
