Granny’s Batch is a bakery inspired by the nostalgic and heartwarming feeling you get when your grandmother bakes you warm, gooey cookies. The anonymous owner created the bakery to bring the feeling of grandma’s baking-filled love to people all over New York. Granny’s Bakery began in early 2026, as a small-batch, delivery-only brand, which dropped a limited quantity of cookies per week.
In July 2026, they opened their first store front on West 50th Street in New York City. Currently, their main focus is small batches of extra-large, hand-baked two pound cookies cakes served in golden cookie tins which are meant to be shared and enjoyed.
“Every tin is a throwback to those slow Sunday afternoons in Grandma’s kitchen, when butter, sugar, and laughter filled the air,” their website says. Who doesn’t love cookies with a golden brown outside and an ooey gooey center?
However, this bakery makes cookies even better. They don’t just make chocolate chip cookie tins. They have an array of flavors, such as nutella filled chocolate chip, s’mores, and fudgy double chocolate caramel cookie tins. Each week, they come up with one new flavor to drop before it’s taken off the menu the next week. Their newest flavor is their lemon pie cookie tin, a brown sugar cookie with toasted meringue and a tart lemon curd inside which is available until September 20.
Granny’s Batch first started going TikTok and Instagram viral around January 2026, with a video of their famous nutella cookie tins. Their TikTok page has 194K followers and their Instagram page has 204K followers. Their first viral video was on TikTok and the post gained 470K likes and has over two thousand comments of people drooling over the gorgeous cookie tin.
Almost every video on their page is an ASMR style video that appeals to the public’s love for pleasant visuals and noises. In the videos, they’ll tap and scrape the back of the spoon against the crunchy top of the cookie before finally diving into the cookie cake with a satisfying crunch.
From then on, everyone has been in love with Granny’s cookie tins, including influencer @Jordan_The_Stallion8. Jordan tried the nutella cookie tin and threw his glasses across the room out of excitement, an action he is famous for. “There is delicious chocolate in every single corner of the cookies,” Jordan said. “That was worth the wait.” His video got 294 thousand likes adding to Granny’s popularity.
Creator @sarraherlich brought the s’mores cookie tin and gave an honest review saying, “How could that be bad? It can’t! It’s warm gooey, chocolate, marshmallow mmh”. However, she did say “It’s not worth $40, but it is a fun experience so check it out.”
TikTok creator @chlomikaa made a video reviewing the cookie tin and talking about how exclusive it is to get these cookies.
“I’ve tried to get the drop so many times, I haven’t gotten it,” said Chlomikaa.
Because Granny’s batch makes such small batches of their cookies, it’s more difficult to get the flavor you want or even just a tin. After trying just one bite of the nutella cookie tin she says, “It’s genuinely insane.”
People are even saying that they’re gonna reuse the famous golden tins. “Get these gorgeous reusable tins. I’m gonna use mine for a sewing kit instead of cookies,” Ella Kahan said. Her comment is poking fun at the long running joke that when grandmas get tins of cookies, they reuse them as a place to store their sewing supplies.
