These peppermint sugar cookies are easy and cheap to make, and they look like they came straight out of a bakery. 

Peppermint Sugar Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

• 1 package sugar cookie dough
• 4 oz cream cheese softened
• 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
• crushed peppermint candies

• Step 1

  Cut the cookie dough into 12 even parts.

  

• Step 2

  Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350ºF for 11-12 minutes.

  

• Step 3

  For the frosting, whip together the cream cheese and butter until fluffy.

  

• Step 4

  Add the powdered sugar and whip until pale and fluffy.

  

• Step 5

  Frost the cooled cookies.

  

• Step 6

  Garnish with crushed peppermint.
