How to Make Healthy Matcha Banana Ice Cream

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Virginia Tech chapter.

Chefs have recently been sneaking matcha (powdered green tea) into everything. It’s even popping up in cupcakes. Matcha is basically a health bomb, and now, you can put it in your banana ice cream. Depending where you live, it can be tough to find, but you can scour your local hip grocery store or get it online here.

But I won’t sit and lie to you here. Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking banana ice cream is “just like regular ice cream.” It’s not. It tastes different, so just be sure that going into this you’re looking for a delicious alternative. Not an exact replica. This recipe is banana frozen sweetness with some healthy matcha powder, and ice cream couldn’t get any more guilt-free if it tried.
