As a student, the average day is jam packed with various obligations, which doesn’t leave much time to eat, let alone sit down and enjoy a filling and energizing meal.
Luckily, after a recent trip home I was reintroduced to one of my favorite homemade sports bar recipes. These sports bars not only taste much better than many of the store brand bars, they also keep me full during class.

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
Spray a 9×9 inch square metal baking pan with nonstick baking spray.
Chop the dates, walnuts, and dried cherries.
Mix the dates, dried cherries, raisins, and walnuts together with the Kashi cereal in a large bowl.
#SpoonTip: If you don’t like raisins, you can substitute them for dried cranberries.
Combine the peanut butter, honey, and corn syrup in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, whisking constantly (about 1 minute).
Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl that contains the cereal and dried fruit mixture and stir until blended.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press to flatten.
Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
Once cooled, cut into individual squares and enjoy.
