Fruit and Oat Greek Yogurt Bowl

This is my absolute favorite thing to eat for breakfast and I have the crunchy to creamy ratio down to a science, if I do say so myself.

Recipe:

½ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt (if you prefer vanilla flavored, that’d also be delicious, but omit the maple syrup to avoid excessive sweetness)

½ cup sliced strawberries

1/3 cup blueberries

½ banana sliced

½ nectarine (or peach) diced

¼ cup granola (my favorite is the ‘Simply Nature Pumpkin and Flax’ from Aldi’s)

¼ shredded wheat cereal

1-2 Tbsp maple syrup, to taste for sweetness

Lemon peel, optional

Instructions:

1. Place yogurt and fruit into a bowl.

2. Top with granola and cereal

3. Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with lemon zest

This could also be dessert if you are trying to get something sweet after dinner without added sugars and a lot of calories.
