5-Ingredient Vegan Banana Bread Perfect for Bringing to Potlucks

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UTD chapter.

Sometimes, we simply crave a fragrant, comforting, baked banana bread, and yet Google keeps giving us recipes with too many ingredients. It’s nice to have an out-of-the-ordinary banana bread sometimes, but often I just want a simple banana bread that can be recreated in my small kitchen. As a self-proclaimed health-conscious baker, I’ve got your back.

Friendsgiving is right around the corner, and I am super excited just thinking about all the food on the table. The downside about Friendsgiving or potlucks in general is that although they are fun to attend, making sure that everyone is happily fed can also be a real pain. I’ve always found it stressful to decide on which dish to make, especially when having to keep my friends’ dietary restrictions in mind. If you’re pondering how to impress your friends and family with your limited cooking skills and limited supplies this holiday season, give this recipe a try.

I wanted to keep this recipe super simple, but you can always add a dash of vanilla to increase deliciousness. Note that the milk used can be dairy milk, buttermilk, or non-dairy milk depending on your diet and what you have in your fridge. My favorite, however, is always almond milk. Also, by substituting almond flour for all-purpose flour in a 1:1 ratio, you can make a gluten-free banana bread!
