15 Amazing Places with Vegan Options less than 15 miles from UT Dallas

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UTD chapter.

Ever at a loss for where to take that vegan/vegetarian friend of yours? Or maybe your New Year’s resolution is to eat a bit better or live a more compassionate lifestyle. Either way, if you think there’s limited options near by, think again! I’ve put together some of the best locations with both vegan and non-vegan options from personal experience and suggestions from fellow-vegans in the area.

There are 28 vegan options in their buffet; I counted.

318 E Main St, Richardson, TX 75081

Papa John’s

This is not a drill: their garlic sauce is vegan. It’s the best/worst thing I’ve discovered all year. Not to mention they give 40% off for UTD students.

If this still isn’t enough, the list of vegan options is basically endless (I just figured I couldn’t put them all in one article). If you have more of a sweet tooth, Reverie Bakeshop and Cinnaholic are  just down the road.

If fast-food is more your thing, check out this article. Either way, the North Dallas area has a wide range of vegan options to choose from.

I am a pre-med junior at UT Dallas. I've been vegan for about 5 years, a cat mom for about 2, and a dancer most of my life. I'm a peer advisor on campus. The reason for my all nighters aren't because of studying but because of cooking for hours and taking too many cat pictures.
