These 3-Ingredient Ramen Cookies Are Perfect for Dorm Room Chefs

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UGA chapter.

Who ever knew Ramen and cookies would ever be used together in the same sentence? We’ve all been mesmerized by innovative ramen-bun burgers, or that cheeky article showing you how to make a ramen pizza. However, as a drowning-in-debt college student (as well as a hopeless cook), this unbelievably easy and cheap recipe can be done with your eyes closed (although it’s not recommended). Trust me, these three-ingredient ramen cookies prove that it’s possible to transform this late night college staple into a mouthwatering dessert.

Instructions

  1. Hannah Park

Remove the two packs of dried ramen noodles (dispose or place the pack of seasoning to the side). Place the two uncooked blocks of noodles in a large bag and crush the ramen into small chunks with your fists (or a mallet-like utensil).

  2. Hannah Park

Transfer the finely-pulverized ramen into the mixing bowl and add two to three healthy globs of peanut butter to the dry noodles (Note: The more peanut butter you add, the creamier and smoother your cookies will be. If you prefer a bit of crunch to your dessert, then opt for less PB).

  3. Hannah Park

Combine the two, and voila! Dough has been created. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place it in a freezer (or the back of a mini fridge). Let it chill for a couple of hours.

  4. Hannah Park

Once the dough has hardened into a malleable substance, remove it and divide the mass into about a dozen balls. Place these ramen balls on wax paper, and slide them back into the freezer to chill for another hour.

  5. Hannah Park

Break the chocolate into medium-sized chunks. Microwave until it is completely melted. Once the ramen cookies have chilled, remove them from the freezer, and drizzle as much (or as little) melted chocolate as you want. Place the ramen cookies back into the freezer for another 30 minutes to let the chocolate harden.

The moment you’ve been waiting for—take these delectable treats out of the freezer and dig in!
