Party Like You Mean It With These Birthday Cake Shots

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UFL chapter.

My friendships are founded on mutual respect, sarcasm, alcohol, and bad decisions. Therefore, our birthdays are an excuse to day drink and celebrate like hangovers don’t exist. To kick off the festivities, ditch the traditional birthday cake for these colorful cake shots. With a shockingly authentic flavor, this cute and quick cocktail recipe mixes white chocolate liqueur and cake vodka into a booze-tiful birthday treat.

In a cocktail shaker or large Mason jar, mix together the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of food coloring with the vodka and liqueur.

#SpoonTip: If using Irish cream, the mixture will be light brown. Therefore substitute the pink food dye with a darker color like purple.

Shake until completely mixed. Pour in prepared shot glasses and serve immediately.

#SpoonTip: If using a Mason jar, get a cocktail shaker lid for easier handling.
