Try This Butterbeer Straight Out of Harry Potter’s Magical World

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UDelhi chapter.

I have been a Potterhead since my grade school days, as I was fascinated with the books and movies bringing the world of wizards and witches to life. As disappointed as I was to not receive my Hogwarts letter, I still relished on the idea of anything related to Harry Potter. And that is when I became obsessed with the idea of making butterbeer at home.

While I was desperate to taste the delicious drink mentioned in the books, I stumbled upon an easy recipe on Wizarding World Park. The moment I tasted it I imagined myself seated in Hogsmeade at the Three Broomsticks, enjoying a frothy glass of liquid gold a.k.a butterbeer.

Instructions

  1. Apoorva Jain
Take a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a bowl. (Bowl should be big enough to blend the mixture)
  2. Marina Wollmann
Top it with butterscotch syrup. If there is specific butterscotch ice cream topping available at stores, you can use that too.
  3. Shaylyn McCarthy
Add butter, cinnamon and nutmeg to the mixture.
  4. Beatriz Gras
Blend the mixture well. You can add some ice cubes before blending to give it a slushie texture.
  5. Apoorva Jain
Pour the mixture in glasses and add cream soda. Top it with some whipped cream to enjoy the fanciest drink straight out of the fictional world!

DIY Cream Soda

You can make the perfect cream soda at home easily. For this recipe, I like to use vanilla cream soda to bring out the taste.

An easy version of this butterbeer recipe is available on Wizarding World Park.
