I Ranked the Top 5 Açaí Bowls at Nekter Juice Bar So You Wouldn’t Have To

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UCSD chapter.

If you’ve been on social media at all lately, you’ve probably noticed that açaí bowls are incredibly popular. Unfortunately, these photogenic beauties aren’t always the cheapest snack option so it’s important to not waste money on bowls that you might not even end up liking. Lucky for you, I decided to take it upon myself to try and rank the top 5 açaí bowls from Nekter Juice Bar.

Just try not to get too addicted to them like me.

5. Açaí Mango Bowl, 320 calories

It may be #5 but don’t get me wrong. I loved this bowl with its different textures from the hempseed granola, coconut flakes, and banana slices coming together in every bite. It’s definitely a bowl that I would take to the beach to snack on.

However, I would note is that I didn’t really taste much mango in my bowl, which is why it’s at the bottom of my list; maybe my palate just isn’t refined enough or maybe it was just the bowl I tasted. Still, you should give it a chance before making any judgements of your own.

4. Açaí Peanut Butter Bowl, 520 calories

If you know me, you know that I’m a huge fan of all things peanut butter, which is why I was so excited to give this bowl a try. It surpassed my expectations by far and would probably be ranked #1 if I was judging these bowls on taste alone.

Every spoonful tasted like I was indulging in a dessert that I didn’t deserve. Maybe only eat this one after a gym session – it’ll feel way more well-deserved. Trust me on that one.

3. Pitaya Bowl, 440 calories

The Pitaya bowl was like nothing that I have ever tasted before. Rather than being made with açaí, the base for this bowl was created with dragonfruit. Not only did this slight difference make the bowl taste amazing, it also gave the base a beautiful fuchsia color.

Filled with three different forms of coconut, the pitaya will definitely make you feel like you’re in paradise.

2. Açaí Banana Berry Bowl, 390 calories

Sometimes you don’t want an açaí bowl with coconut, dragonfruit, or any of the other extra stuff. If you’re craving a classic, this is the bowl for you. It is the epitome of what you think an açaí bowl would taste like if you’ve never had one.

Newcomers playing it safe should start with this one and seasoned açaí bowl lovers should eat this once in a while too. All I can say is, this bowl was berry good.

Excuse my language, but this bowl had a whole bunch of cool sh*t in it, which is why I loved it so much. I was honestly most intimidated to try this because of ingredients like bee pollen, hemp hearts, and cacao nibs. However, I can proudly say that I have no regrets.

Eating this healthy bowl literally cleansed my body of all of the junk I have filled it with over the years. Yes, this bowl is the most expensive of the five, but definitely worth the extra dollar.
