3 Potion-Inspired Punches For Your Halloween Party

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UCLA chapter.

Around spooky season, witches and wizards come together to brew magical potions with mysterious properties. As humans it can be tough to get into the spirit of Halloween, but this year we have three potions that are so simple even mortals can brew them. These easy Halloween punch recipes take a fun twist on classic drinks that will leave your guests bewitched.

The first recipe is a Love Potion meant for that special someone. The sweetness of strawberry and the fizzy carbonation of soda create magical sparks between two people. This drink is so delicious it casts a love spell on anyone who drinks it.

Thoroughly mix all the ingredients and pour over ice. Serve chilled in a punch cauldron, potion vial, or goblet.

This second potion is a Luck Potion to enhance your odds at achieving any goal. The bright lime flavors of the potion are bold and leave you feeling confident and excited.

Add the Jell-O mixture to the water and heat until the powder dissolves. Let the mixture cool and add in the pineapple juice and lemon-lime soda. Pour over ice and serve.

This last halloween punch recipe is a Healing Potion that hits the spot after a tough day. It can be served warm or cold, but I like to drink it warm. With hints of spice and comforting flavors of apple, this potion will make you feel right at home.

Heat up the apple cider and cinnamon until the cinnamon is well incorporated. Add in ginger ale and serve.

All the recipes can be scaled up or down in quantity depending on the size of the event. I made my Potions non-alcoholic but feel free to spike them as well. Sabrina, our Editorial Director, recommends champagne for the Love Potion, vodka for the Luck Potion, and whiskey for the Healing Potion. Have a safe Halloween and happy enchanting!
