Swipe, swipe, swipe. With the influx of dating apps, it’s easy to get lost in a sea of online dating. Once you finally find a match, it can be hard to decide on a restaurant to go to. But fear not, I can help. I created an agenda of which chain is the optimal choice for you and your date, based on the dating app that you met on.
1. Tinder
The classic go-to of dating apps. It’s fast, easy to use, and straight forward. As long as you have Facebook, you’re good to go. So if you happen to snag a date on Tinder, take them to the traditional king of fast food—McDonald’s.
2. Bumble
Bumble is synonymous with Tinder, but its features are not as simple. It offers the same swipe option, but is generally thought of as being a bit more serious than Tinder because the girl has 24 hours to make the first move. Because girls make the first move, I recommend a fast food classic that never goes out of style — Wendy’s.
3. Happn
Happn is a dating app that matches you with a person, based on location. If you walk by someone who also uses Happn, you can see their profile on the app and can swipe if interested. If you’re using this app, you probably believe in two things—proximity and fate. And you know what else is seems to be right in front of you when you least expect it—Starbucks.
4. OkCupid
OkCupid is a dating app that requires you to fill out an extravagant profile. It offers custom choices for the qualities you look for in a partner. If you use OkCupid, you like having options and having control. And you know which chain lets you create your own lover… I mean burrito — Chipotle.
5. Match
Match.com is a similar system to OkCupid. It requires the same level of detail (if not more) on personal profiles, including tactful questionnaires. It prides itself on sustainability — the relationships made on Match.com are guaranteed to last.
You’ve spent a lot of time on finding this new beau, so it’s best to spend the necessary time meeting them. You want a meal that will keep you full, yet healthy and satisfying, so I recommend Panera. You’re thinking of your future family here, after all.
6. Coffee Meets Bagel
This app has a simple, algorithmic system that filters through all the “bagels” out there and offers #LadiesChoice everyday at noon. Women are then allowed to filter through 21 total matches for that day and are able to view men who expressed interest in their profile. It’s fairly straightforward, and satisfies people who don’t want to spend hours swiping. You’re on a time crunch and America runs on Dunkin’ Donuts.
