How to Make Cookies out of Leftover Halloween Candy

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at U Penn chapter.

Do you have too much halloween candy lying around? I don’t think there’s such a thing as too much candy, but if you want to turn that candy into something even better, this recipe is for you. This cookie is not the traditional compost/garbage/monster cookie–those names imply that you can add healthy stuff to the cookie. This is the Halloween cookie. There is nothing healthy about it, but there is way more candy-deliciousness. You pick you absolutely favorite candies and mix them into your favorite chocolate chip cookie batter. Pretzels or potato chips, although not something you get trick-or-treating, add a needed crunch. We mixed in Rolos, Sour Patch Watermelon, Twizzler Bites, Twix, Milky Way, Kit Kat, M&Ms, Hershey Kisses and Three Musketeers. The weirder the candy the better (Twizzlers were the favorite). My one suggestion —make sure there’s some chocolate-caramel candy mixed in, perhaps one of these new fancy candies that didn’t exist when we were kids.

Warning: Fighting about who gets to eat the cookie dough (or drunk baking) might result in this:
