Starbucks’ fall-themed, “basic” drink doesn’t even have real pumpkin in it, so what are you paying $5 for? Keep reading for an easy recipe on how to make a pumpkin spice latte in your dorm room microwave.

Add the milk, pumpkin, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract to a large mug and stir well.
Microwave the milk and pumpkin mixture for 1-2 minutes.
Remove the mug from the microwave and whip the mixture with a fork to create a foam.
Brew strong coffee or fill 1/2 a mug with coffee from the dining hall. Fill the rest of the mug with your warm milk and pumpkin mixture and top off with whipped cream.
