Make These Healthy Black Bean Brownies For Dessert

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Temple chapter.

Meet Serena. Serena is an online fitness and nutrition coach located in Philadelphia, PA. She also happens to be my kick ass internship boss. One thing I love about my internship is getting to to learn how to eat in moderation and make healthy food swaps in my diet. We decided to make Black Bean Brownies to find out how desserts taste when you replace dry ingredients with a healthier base.

Pour the mixture into a small bowl and stir in half of the chocolate chips. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until mix is incorporated.

  4. Pour into pan and drizzle the remaining chocolate chips over the mixture. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the top of the brownies has a matte look. Let cool and serve!

How were they you ask? Flat out amazing. The brownies were moist and delicious. You can’t even taste the black beans. Overall, I give them a 10/10. Healthy and delicious desserts are what I live for.
