These Homemade Dog Treats Will Make You Your Dog’s Favorite Human

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at TCU chapter.

As a firm believer that dogs are better then cats, any other domestic pet and sometimes even humans, I like to spoil my furry four-legged friend. To take it up a notch from a new toy or sleeping on my bed, I decided to make them these quick and nutrient-dense homemade peanut butter pumpkin dog treats.

Made with organic canned pumpkin, creamy peanut butter and flavorful cinnamon, man’s best friend is sure to love them.

If you feel like upping your doggies Omega-3 intake, sprinkle some flax seed into the mix. Maybe you feel like being the cool dog owner, so you can choose to throw some bacon bits in for a kick of flavor. Whatever you choose, make sure you check to see if it is a food safe for dogs.

American Kennel Association provides great information on all dog-related subjects, like safe foods and preventative health for dogs, so you can keep your dog healthy and happy. A few foods many people think are safe for their dogs and are not include grapes, dairy, and undercooked meat.
