As a firm believer that dogs are better then cats, any other domestic pet and sometimes even humans, I like to spoil my furry four-legged friend. To take it up a notch from a new toy or sleeping on my bed, I decided to make them these quick and nutrient-dense homemade peanut butter pumpkin dog treats.

If you feel like upping your doggies Omega-3 intake, sprinkle some flax seed into the mix. Maybe you feel like being the cool dog owner, so you can choose to throw some bacon bits in for a kick of flavor. Whatever you choose, make sure you check to see if it is a food safe for dogs.

Homemade Peanut Butter Pumpkin Dog Treats

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and get out necessary ingredients and grease a baking sheet.
Combine all measured ingredients into one medium mixing bowl.
Whisk ingredients together until thick and slightly difficult to stir. You can add a small amount of water if the dough seems dry.
Roll out dough and then pat until it is about 1/2 inch thick.
#SpoonTip: Keep flour around because things will get sticky.
Cut dough into treat-sized pieces. Amount will vary depending on the shape of treat and size of dog.
Bake for 40 minutes at 350°F.
#SpoonTip: Don’t let a certain someone too close, they might not wait till treats are donecooking.
Let cool, then store in air-tight container. Remember, this contains fresh ingredients so do not keep longer then you would any other baked goods.
