Make This Spicy Quesadilla in a Waffle Iron

The waffle iron has just upped its game. Quesadillas are bomb but then you have to wash the pan and impatiently wait for it to heat up…eh. Not today friends. Just plug in that waffle iron and throw your fav quesadilla fillings and your quesadilla waffle is born. Best part it can all be accomplished in a whopping ten minutes.

Waffle Iron Quesadilla

    In a small skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of oil followed by the red and jalapeño peppers.

    Cook for a minute or two until they just start to soften. Season the peppers with a small pinch of salt.

    Heat waffle iron and place a tortilla on the waffle iron and add a good handful of cheese. Sprinkle about the cumin and paprika

    Top with a second tortilla and close the waffle iron.

  5. Cook the quesadilla until the cheese is melted and bubbling out and the tortilla is lightly browned. Remove quesadilla using a fork or knife, and cut into quarters for easy serving.

    Garnish with salsa, cilantro and sour cream as desired.
