Start Your Morning With This 5-Minute Coffee Mug Cake

It’s pretty much a known fact that coffee should be the first thing you drink when you wake up in the morning… unless it’s homecoming (*cough* tequila). Eating cake at inappropriate times of the day is a skill that I have possessed within my short lifetime, and here is one of the few that will help you start off your lovely morning with a nice cup of joe (assuming you own more then one mug).

Coffee Mug Cake

    Soften 1 tablespoon of butter and stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar until well incorporated. Next stir in applesauce, vanilla, flour, baking powder and salt, stirring until smooth.

    In a separate bowl combine 1 tablespoon of butter, 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and 1/4 tablespoon of cinnamon using your fingers to pinch and create a crumble for the top.

    Add your crumble on top of the batter and microwave for 50-80 seconds on high.

    Eat it while it’s warm and enjoy your delicious morning mug cake.
