This Fruit Dip Tastes Just Like Butterfingers

If you’re like me, you probably stocked up on day-after-Halloween candy sales, meaning you have a ridiculous amount of fun-sized candy bars. We’re well into November now, yet I still find myself drowning in leftover candy. And there are only so many fun-sized candy bars I can eat before it stops being fun. That’s why I decided to use up my candy in a Butterfingers-inspired dip, adapted from this recipe.

This sweet treat is super easy to make, and the ingredients cost a total of $8, a steal in college currency. Try this treat with a healthy twist and use fruits to scoop the dip. Apples, bananas, and strawberries will make your afternoon snack a little more special.

#SpoonTip: This recipe can be made without the use of a mixer, but it would be 100% easier using one.

    Put the cream cheese into a mixing bowl and mix until smooth. Once smooth, add the dulce de leche one spoonful at a time into the bowl. Once this is throughly mixed, put aside.

    Place your whipping cream into a bowl and whip until it thickens.

    Fold the heavy whipping cream mixture into the cream cheese and dulce de leche mix.

    Place in the fridge to chill or serve immediately. This dip can be enjoyed with fruit slices, pretzels, Nilla Wafers—whatever your prefer. Sprinkle some crushed Butterfingers on top and enjoy!

Overall, making this treat iss a breeze. If you’re looking for a good way to eat healthily, use apples or strawberries, but this dip is also a good way to sneak some sweets. Since a mixer isn’t necessary, it can be made in a dorm room with a mixing spoon. This is a fantastic dip to serve at a party because it makes a lot.
