This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at SRMuniv chapter.

Fitness has been on everyone’s mind since the turn of the year. Most resolutions to stay fit last a few months. But keeping in shape is expensive, especially for broke college kids( ya hear me, student loans??!). Why spend so much money when you could make a healthy and delicious shake right at home?

This easy-to-make shake will happily replace your meals (if you’re super busy), while still keeping you full for long. Moreover it is super cheap and ingredients are all readily available.

1. CARBOHYDRATES : 90-95 g

2. PROTEINS : 25-30 g

3. FATS : 25-30 g

Calories : 600-700 calories

Apart from this, its an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. Flax seeds contain Omega-3 which has heart-healthy effects. So basically, this shake is healthy for your body and your heart and it doesn’t dent your wallet.

For the ones who have a sweet tooth, you could always add honey to it. Another option is adding flavoured yogurt to mix it up and you could even add instant coffee powder to make it similar to cold coffee.

So go ahead and explore your shake. Be creative, make different combinations and eat healthy.
