Are you lucky enough to have someone make authentic pasta fresh for your dinner? Yeah, me neither. Ramen can only cut it for so long before you start missing good, authentic Italian, and The Florence is the perfect fix for all your pizza and pasta needs.
World renowned chef Hugh Acheson has brought something great to Savannah. Locally-sourced, authentic Italian food located near downtown that offers a unique and exciting dining experience. It’s simply a drive straight up Whitaker; seriously, the building sits in the middle of the street at Whitaker and Victory. You can’t miss the string lights and the irresistible smell.
All of the pasta, pizza, desserts: everything you can eat is made in house fresh daily. Mike, our photographer, and Janina, our videographer, were able to capture the pasta process from the dough to the dish. The chefs spend time and rolling, folding, and filling each pasta for you, bringing classic Italian with twist like sweet potato!
Besides the delicious pasta, the Florence’s pizzas are delicious. Their pizza oven is insane, and every pizza comes out bubbling, fresh, and delicious. It’s the perfect dish to enjoy when you go to the “Reels on the Rooftop,” a dining experience with a movie showing that happens multiple times a month (guys and gals, date night solved: trust me, I told my roommate’s boyfriend to take her for Valentine’s Day, and they had a wonderful time). Split a pizza with your boyfriend, girlfriend, family, friends, or yourself and enjoy classics like From Russia with Love and The Princess Bride.
We can’t thank the guys at The Florence for letting us showcase their amazing work. They’re open Tuesday through Thursday 5-10 pm and Fridays and Saturdays 5-11 pm. Don’t forget to check them out, and tell them that Spoon Uni sent you!
