Dad’s Nutella Banana Bread Is the Recipe to Have On Hand If You Love Bananas

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Portsmouth chapter.

Bananas are a great source of potassium and fiber, not to mention they’re very filling, making them a great breakfast and snack. But we’ve all been there… you wake up one morning and suddenly all your bananas have gone brown and mushy—what do you do? Simple! You make banana bread.

The recipe I’m about to share with you is my Dad’s recipe for Nutella Banana Bread, and every time he makes it I have to have more than one slice. This bread is really lovely and soft, and actually gets better the longer you leave it. If you’re a banana lover this is definitely for you! The original recipe is adapted from Joy’s Easy Banana Bread on allrecipes.com, but my dad added some twists, for example adding in brown sugar and maple syrup, giving the bread loads of flavor.

Spoon Tip: overripe bananas work best for this, but if yours aren’t yet ripe be sure to use one of our ripening hacks
