Yes, phyllo dough is a little difficult to work with, but you will have no problem making these delicious bites on your own. Make sure you read through the steps beforehand and get all that you need before you start. I’m fully confident that these chips are going to be the next big thing in snacking, so keep up with the trends and try them out now.
#SpoonTip: These phyllo dough chips are too flaky and buttery to have just one. I’ve included both a delicately sweet recipe and a savory, cheesy recipe for you to try.
Cinnamon Sugar Phyllo Dough Chips
Ingredients
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375° F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.
Place 1 phyllo sheet down and brush with melted butter using a culinary brush or the back of a spoon. Sprinkle evenly with about 3 tablespoons of sugar mixture, then repeat twice until the stack has 3 sheets.
#SpoonTip: Keep the stack of phyllo dough sheets covered with plastic wrap to prevent from drying.
Make 4 or 5 horizontal cuts, then 4 or 5 vertical cuts (I made different-sized rectangles because I canât cut straight), making about 32 chips total. Place on pan and bake for 7 minutes until golden brown on top. Watch very carefully so that they do not burn.
Pair the chips with a dessert dip. I made a lemon curd whipped cream dip, and the combination was amazing.

Place 1 sheet of phyllo down and brush with melted butter using a culinary brush or the back of a spoon. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the sheet. Place the second sheet of phyllo on top, and repeat adding butter and cheese. Lay the third and fourth sheets and repeat. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
#SpoonTip: Keep stack of phyllo dough sheets covered with plastic wrap to prevent from drying.
Cut the phyllo dough with a sharp knife. Transfer to pan and bake for 9 minutes until golden brown on top. Watch very carefully so that they donât burn.
#SpoonTip: I made triangles for this recipe, which is just a matter of preference.
Pair these chips with a light and flavorful dip, like the white bean dipthat I chose to make. Guacamole or a cheese dip would also work wonderfully.
