Lemonade and Hot Sauce Cupcakes to Satisfy All Your Beyoncé Cravings

About a week ago Beyoncé changed all of our lives. Again. Her new visual album dropped late Saturday night, leaving pretty much everyone feeling unprepared, overwhelmed, and overrun with emotion. After all, Lemonade is not just another album— it’s an experience.

In honor of Beyoncé and this  flawless new album, we’ve turned Lemonade into the perfect snack—lemonade cupcakes with zesty hot sauce—loaded with as much flavor and heat as Queen B herself. So get in formation and get baking, because after he tries these he’ll never want to call Becky again.

Lemon Cupcakes

  1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.

    In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

    In a large, microwave safe bowl, melt butter. Whisk in 1 cup of sugar.

    Stir in egg, yogurt, and milk until combined.

    Add vanilla and lemon juice.

    Slowly mix in dry ingredients until no lumps remain. Add lemon zest. Batter will be thick.

    Fill liners 3/4 of the way with batter. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

Sriracha Hot Sauce Frosting

    Using an electric mixer, beat butter until light and fluffy.

    Beat in confectioners sugar and milk, alternating between the two.

    Gradually add hot sauce to taste.

    Use a piping bag (or ziploc bag with a corner cut out) and fill with frosting. Pipe a swirl on top of each cupcake. Drizzle with Sriracha for extra heat (and extra Beyoncé).
