How to Make the Ultimate Bloody Mary

Following a night at the Keg or the nearest frat house, your body needs hydration ASAP. In order to get your thirsty organs to hang onto the water you’ll be swigging, you’ll need plenty of sodium (right?). The solution? A salty, brine-y, simple Bloody Mary. My father, the family expert on Bloody Marys, suggests a spicy kick in your drink and to enjoy two in succession with breakfast. Have it on a Sunday morning and plan to spend the rest of the day on the couch, watching reruns of the Office and snoozing. When you find yourself in times of trouble (or hangovers), Bloody Mary comes to you….

Total Time: 5 minutes

Servings: 1 drink

Ingredients:
2 ounces vodka
Splash of red wine
Splash of dry sherry
Pinch of celery salt
Salt and pepper, to taste
7 drops Worcestershire sauce
5 drops hot sauce (recommended: Tabasco)
6 ounces V8 vegetable juice
Ice
Pickled green beans (optional)
Blue cheese filled olives (optional)
Other garnish options include celery stalks, cherry tomatoes, limes or pickled jalapeños

Directions
1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
2. Combine all ingredients (excluding the green beans and olives) into the glass.
3. Stir well.
4. Garnish with pickled green beans and blue cheese-filled olives
