These Nutella-Stuffed Chocolate Pancakes Are a Chocoholic’s Dream Come True

If you’re like me, and find yourself eating Nutella on a spoon more often than actual food, eat these pancakes. Don’t be daunted by the extra effort to freeze Nutella and therefore wait longer than usual for pancakes. You will be rewarded.

    For Nutella disks, cover a baking tray with parchment paper and dollop 1.5 – 2 tablespoons of Nutella. Spread into a circle (keeping them thick). Repeat until you have enough circles for your pancakes. Put in freeze for 1 hour or until hardened.

    In a medium sized bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.

    Make a well in the middle of the mixture and place egg, milk, and vanilla. Mix until combined.

    Butter your griddle over medium heat. Dollop 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto griddle, place one nutella disc on top, and cover with another 1/4 cup of batter. Cook until top is bubbling and flip. Cook for another 2 minutes.
