Morning Bran Pancakes

It’s okay, admit it: you’re over the age of 10 and you still have a soft spot for pancakes. Who doesn’t? Here’s a simple and delicious recipe that’ll fulfill your cravings in just 10 minutes. Next time you want pancakes, throw away the Bisquick and opt for a healthier, all-natural recipe. It’s quick, easy, only requires one pan and you probably already have all the ingredients. Thank us later.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients:
 cup flour (white or wheat)
½ cup wheat bran
1 egg
½ cup milk
1 tablespoon oil
Pinch of baking soda
Optional:  cup dark chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix until batter is smooth.

2. Heat skillet over medium heat. Pour about ½ cup of batter onto center of skillet.

3. After about 2-3 minutes, or when pancake looks golden, use a spatula to flip it over and allow to cook for another 2-3 minutes.
