How to Make Grapefruit Sorbet

Springtime is in full bloom and grapefruits and fresher and better than ever. What better way to celebrate the end of the year than with a cool, tangy sorbet? (Hint: nothing). This tasty treat can be made with red or green grapefruit juice and you can even garnish with some mint leaves to add a touch of refreshing, delicious flavor.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients:
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
½ cup fresh grapefruit juice

Directions:

1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and turn to a simmer for 5 minutes.

2. Remove from heat and let cool.
3. Pour mixture and grapefruit juice into a blender and blend well.

4. Transfer mixture to a bowl. Freeze until firm.
5. Once firm, blend the mixture again and allow to freeze.
