Together, the Gold(en) girls, mother Linnie Gold and her daughter Morgan Gold created Nosh NYC Candy, an online candy company with a millennial feel and brightly-colored sweet gummies and chocolate. We interviewed Morgan Gold to get her take on starting a company during the COVID-19 pandemic and where the idea to start a candy company came from. It’s definitely been a few months into the pandemic, but don’t SWEET it- you got Nosh NYC Candy handy!
It all began when Morgan and Linnie started selling candy two years ago for events and wholesale purposes, with the ultimate goal to sell directly to customers. These two lovely ladies took the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity to change their overall packaging and branding, and jump-start the online business. Morgan had previous experiences in the food PR industry before the COVID-19 pandemic, and her mom, Linnie, had always been in sales. However, this business certainly didn’t just erupt from a background of business knowledge. Above all, Nosh NYC Candy started from a genuine love for sweets and fun celebrations.
Morgan is a self-pronounced chocoholic and food enthusiast who loves giving gifts and getting little sweet things. She hopes that the candy she sells will be given as gifts for celebrations of any kind to “sweeten people’s day.” It’s all about the sweetness here!

The Flavors
Now, let’s finally get into some of their top-tier flavors! Morgan’s personal favorite are the Prosecco gummy bears, which, despite their name, are actually alcohol-free, making them a celebration without the dreaded hangover. Beyond boozy gummies, Nosh NYC also has many cute fruit-flavored treats ranging from mini candy cupcakes to peach hearts. All the candy is made in a factory where the founders have personally selected the flavors and molds from all over the world. They choose these flavors and shapes by following trends on social media such as Instagram and TikTok to see what people subconsciously like.
