Apple just announced its iOS 10 update, available this fall, with a ton of new features. The most exciting change that iPhone users can expect is the ability to delete the once unavoidable “built-in” apps, like Stocks, News, Podcasts and more. Here are ten food apps to fill the hole in your home screen (and heart).
1. Wine ‘n Dine
Just like Instagram, but for food, because that’s all you’re using Instagram for anyway. Some major celebs, like the Hadid sisters, have accounts.
2. Tastemade
Tastemade lets users browse restaurants near by, find recipes and watch videos, all in one convenient app.
3. Cocktail Flow
Looking to make a drink without a run to the liquor store? You can use Cocktail Flow to find a cocktail recipe using only alcohol you already have.
4. Suppr
Suppr users pick restaurants that they would like to try, and get matched with other users who want to try the same one, like Tinder for foodies. Personally searching for another Doritos and peanut butter lover in the Cincinnati area.
5. Yummly
On Yummly, you can enter ingredients you want to use and the amount of time that you have and find recipes that fit exactly what you need. Throwing out food will be a thing of the past and you’ll have more money for pitchers.
6. Foodspotting
Using your location, Foodspotting shows you various meals and treats that you can find close by, including recommendations from other users that you can use now or save for later.
7. MyFab5
MyFab5 is simple and cuts to the chase, allowing users only to rank their favorite places in any food or drink category. No lengthy reviews, ratings or clutter.
8. SnapDish Food Camera
Like Facetune for food, Snapdish helps you edit your pictures for the perfect foodstagram. Everything from basic filters to make your food look good, as well as the ability to share pictures and recipes.
9. SideChef
Using step by step instruction screens and voice narration, SideChef helps guide you through recipes, even allowing voice commands so that you don’t have to touch your screen with your dirty fingers once you begin.
10. Eatstreet
Food delivery at its best, Eatstreet pairs with restaurants to provide all of your delivery needs at your fingertips.
