Coconut oil is a great natural moisturizer for your skin. The medium-chain triglycerides help penetrate your skin to moisturize without a greasy feeling. It is antibacterial, full of anti-oxidants and high in vitamin E. It also gives skin a protective barrier, to protect against environmental damage, like bracing winter winds. An added benefit is the scent of coconut is found to be relaxing.

How to use: Simply warm coconut oil to its liquid state, and use as a moisturizer for your face and body.

Honey works amazingly as a face wash. It gently cleanses without stripping natural oils, and its antibacterial properties help reduce breakouts. Make sure you buy raw honey, which still contains healing enzymes that are otherwise killed by the pasteurization process used to make commercial honey.

How to use: Take about 1 teaspoon of honey in your fingers. Warm it with your fingers then spread gently on your face. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.

Apple cider vinegar has a low pH of 3, which when diluted, helps to restore your skins natural pH level. Apple cider vinegar is also rich in alpha hydroxy acids, which help slough off dead skin cells and minimize the appearance of pores.

How to use: In a glass jar, mix 1 part of apple cider vinegar with 3 parts of filtered water. Shake the jar and store in a cool dark place. Tone face with the mixture regularly, using a cotton ball.
