How to Make Boozy Vodka Hot Chocolate

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at McGill chapter.

The other Friday night, I was sitting in my apartment, chilly and struggling over what to do. A part of me wanted nothing more than to curl up on the couch with hot chocolate and watch The Mindy Project to hide from the snow flurries. Another part of me wanted to drink and be social with my friends. Suddenly, it dawned on me that I could do both and I came up with this lovely concoction.

Easy

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 7 minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients:
1 cup milk
1 shot coffee vodka
1 shot vanilla vodka
1.5 teaspoons cocoa powder
1.5 teaspoons sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

1. Measure out cocoa powder, sugar and cinnamon and put in a microwaveable cup (preferably one with a lid)

2. Add milk

3. Give it a good stir. If it looks lumpy, fear not. The lumps will usually go away when you microwave it. Note: if your cup has a lid, put the lid on and shake it up to mix it really well.

4. Microwave hot chocolate for 2 minutes

5. Stir in both types of vodka to hot chocolate. I suggest adding the vodka after making the hot chocolate so that the alcohol does not evaporate when it is being heated.
