Do you ever feel like making your own Oreo cookies without having to go to the grocery store? Here’s your chance to get a homemade taste of the classic, sweet chocolate and creme cookies.

Sift the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Preheat the oven to 325F or 165C.
In a mixing bowl, add and beat the butter. Then add the white sugar and light brown sugar. Mix until the sugar and butter is integrated together.
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mix.
Add the dry ingredients mixture to the bowl. Add the shredded milk chocolate chips to the mix. Mix ingredients together until fully integrated.
Cut the bowl of dough in half. With each half of the batter, roll out with a rolling pin and cut 2 inch pieces of dough and place on a baking sheet.
Place cookies in preheated oven for 16 minutes. Once the cookies have been fully cooked, remove from the oven and let them cool.
Once cookies are cool, place two cookies apart and add a small spoonful of frosting to one cookie. Add the other cookie on top. Frost and cap other cookies and add on a plate to serve,

Add butter to a mixing bowl and beat until well.
Once butter has been beaten well, add the sugar, vanilla extract and heavy cream. Beat the mixture for 20 minutes until it has been fully incorporated and has frosting like characteristics.
