  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Peel and slice the apples and put in a greased baking dish. Pour the water over the sliced apples.

    In a food processor, combine and mix the sugars, cinnamon, salt, and flour. Pulse the cold butter into the mix until cut into tiny crumbles. Pour topping over apples.

    Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 35 minutes. Once cooked and slightly cooled, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
