Support The Mental Health Of Frontline Workers With KIND HEROES

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Hofstra chapter.

“Be kind to one another” is one of Ellen Degeneres’s most popular quotes. I mean, I think it deserves its recognition because the least we can do it treat others with kindness and respect especially during these hard times. KIND is doing their part to give back to those in need with their new initiative in support of World Mental Health Day (October 10).

Mental health is very important especially during these difficult times. While it might be hard doing classes remotely, frontline workers are putting their lives on the line to keep us healthy and that must take a serious toll both mentally and physically.

According to a survey from The KIND Foundation’s Frontline Impact Project, there has been an uptick in mental health challenges among frontline workers. After PPE, respondents cited mental health resources as the most critical need.

KIND HEROES was created to support the mental health of those working on the frontlines.

As part of the initiative, KIND has created a special limited-edition bar of its best-selling flavor Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt with new patriotic packaging.

100% of net sales of the KIND HEROES special-edition bar will be donated to NAMI with a minimum donation of $25,000, and a $25,000 match from The KIND Foundation, to support mental health programs for American heroes, including healthcare workers, first responders, military service members and veterans.

The KIND HEROES bar will be made available on kindsnacks.com on October 6 and can be found in select retail stores while supplies last.
