Oreo truffles only have three basic ingredients and take about 20 minutes of prep work. This is a great recipe to have under your belt as it can be customized to any flavor and will impress anyone with its decadents.

    Crush the full Oreos in either a food processor, through mashing, or by hand until finely crushed

    Optional: Place aside 1/4 of cookie crumbs for topping

    Cut up cream cheese and mix together until blended

    Cover a baking sheet in wax paper

    Shape into rolled balls, place on tray, and freeze for 10 minutes

    Melt chocolate, either in microwave safe bowl or on stovetop

    Roll chilled balls again and dip in melted chocolate

    Optional: top with reserved cookie crumbs or sprinkles

    #Spoon Tip: Use a spoon or fork to help spread the melted chocolate on the balls to make it easier

    Place on baking sheet and refrigerate for 1 hour, or until firm

    Can be enjoyed chilled or room temperature

To Customize:

Since these truffles are so simple to make, many variations can be used to customize to new flavor combinations.

Switch up the Oreo flavors with your favorite flavors, like Red Velvet, Golden Yellow, Birthday Cake, Mint, Holiday Colored, etc.

Try making with different kids of melted chocolate, such as semi- sweet, milk, white, dark, or even peppermint, butterscotch, toffee, etc.

For a specific subtle flavor try adding in extract, like vanilla, peppermint, coffee, raspberry, etc. to the melted chocolate and stir to combine.
