Homemade Pop Tart Flavors You Wish Existed

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at GVSU chapter.

Kellogg’s has provided the world with convenient toaster-pastries since 1964. Originally consumers had the option to choose between strawberry, blueberry, apple-currant and brown sugar cinnamon. Now, over 30 flavors can be found in grocery stores and vending machines. But even with unique flavors such as cookies and creme, chocolate fudge and s’mores, there are some flavors that have yet to be packaged in a pop tart.

Instead of being left with a pop tart shaped void in our lives, these handheld pastries can easily be replicated at home and filled with whatever you have in the house.

To start you off, try out these 5 homemade pop tart recipes for flavors you wish existed.

It’s hard to believe no one ever thought to combine two of Americans’ favorites after school snacks. Ever since this Italian nut butter hit the States, we’ve worked hard to figure out ways to incorporate it in just about anything.
