How to Make Trader Joe’s Granola at Home

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Georgetown chapter.

Trader Joe’s granola is delicious, but on a college budget, it can be tricky to satisfy food cravings without feeling like you’re emptying your wallet. This granola recipe is the perfect way to continue consuming your favorite Trader Joe’s granola while remaining within the constraints of your budget. It tastes just like the store-bought version, but has an added perk: it’s cheaper. The Trader Joe’s version costs $3.99 for about 4 cups of granola, while the homemade version cost $8.25 for about 9 cups. Although the price of the homemade version is about double the store-bought price, you end up making more than twice the quantity of the store-bought version. Happy savings… and happy munching!
