Yep, holiday season is upon us. Kylie Jenner already has her pink Christmas up even (just check Snapchat). And undoubtedly, one of the most exciting things about the holiday season this year is that Oreo Candy Canes are coming to stores. In fact, according to The Impulsive Buy, they were spotted on shelves already at H-E-B. Read on to find out more about these festive treats.

I know it’s kind of early for Christmas announcements, but this is a big one. According to the Instagram account @CandyHunting, Oreos will be releasing new Oreo Candy Canes, and, honestly, these seem slightly bizarre. Here is everything you should know about these upcoming new Oreo products, and whether they are worth the hype.
The Quick and Dirty
We don’t know much yet, but according to the junk food Instagrammer @CandyHunting, these new candy canes are unlikely to taste like Oreos, but likely to “brand everything with Oreo to boost sales.”
The big question is, do these candy canes just look like Oreos and taste like peppermint, or are they legit cookies and cream treats on a stick?
Currently, Nabisco (Oreo’s parent company) has yet to comment or confirm, but we can only assume it’s real. I mean, it makes sense — this is not the first Christmas-themed Oreo treat. In the past, Oreo has released special peppermint-filled cookies that combine the freshness of mint and sweetness of Christmas into one, and a 50/50 red and white candy cane cookie that resembles the OG Christmas treat. It’ll be interesting to see how these unique new treats measure up to the past Christmas renditions.
When Can You Get Them?
Don’t get too excited, these babies shouldn’t be out for another 6 months. Apparently Nabisco is not big on the whole “Christmas in July” trend. Until then, you can try your hand at this no-bake Oreo peppermint cheesecake in a jar.
Low-key, confession: I know that I’m going to be dreaming of these Oreo candy canes for the next 6 months. So, go you, Oreo.
